One of the really fun elements of our job is adding flowers to the cake.  The cakes are all pretty enough to stand on their own, but oh how fun to add flowers to personalize each one just for the bride and groom. 

Vanessa and Jay were married on a bright...no....cloudy.....no rain-showery day at the Beautiful Wilson Vineyards in Clarsksburg.  This fabulous couple had a plan...for an outdoor wedding Memorial Day weekend.  John Lennon said, "If you want to make God laugh, make plans."  So, God was surely laughing when the rain started falling on Vanessa and Jay's wedding guests.  Monty Montgomery of All Seasons All Reasons Fine Catering and Sandy Wilson of Wilson Vineyards just said, "Bring it on!"  They quickly moved all of the decor and guests from outside to inside the barn.  Vanessa and Jay, being the fine musician entertainers they are, simply thought, "The show (aka wedding) must go on."  So, without missing a beat, they were married inside the barn at Wilson Vineyards and the joy of the moment and the day were undeterred!  Congratulations Vanessa & Jay!

We had a great time last week working on the flowers for the Del Oro High School Senior Ball. What a great group of kids! Smart, mannered, fun, responsible. They did a great job creating an elegant environment at Morgan Creek Country Club. Congratulations to Del Oro High School Class of 2010!!
